Plus size consignment event "Curvy Chic Closet" in Portland, Oregon is bringing affordable fashion to the Oregon area in the form of semi-annual fashion shows and consignment sales.
Curvy Chic Closet recently held its 6th fashion show and 10th consignment sale event this past weekend and it was a huge success. Even though they don't have an actual brick and mortar store, hundreds of shoppers showed up to the semi-annual event that doubled in size and sales from last year, to shop for 4 days for the latest and greatest, as well as affordable plus size clothing sizes 14 to 34.
The Curvy Chic Closet event is considered the largest plus size consignment event in North America. It allows plus size women to consign and shop for gently used clothing and accessories at very affordable prices.
Curvy Chic Closet founder Becky Jarvis spoke to EFR exclusively about the event: " I started the Curvy Chic Closet event as a way to empower plus size women to feel beautiful. She also added: "When you find clothing that fits you, it changes the way you feel about yourself. I have encountered women in tears at my event over the years because they have found clothing that they love".
The event included a FREE fashion show and this year's participating designers included: E.G.O Boutique, House of Solana, RUE21 and Sonshine Apparel. The show was hosted by plus size male blogger and model Bruce Sturgill from
